Could you be this young man's family?

Liyuan is 13 years old and is running out of time to find a family.

Liyuan was born on Dec. 1997.  His mother left home when he was little and her whereabouts are unknown. His father died of illness in August 2007 and that's when he came to the orphanage.  When he came in, he was depressed and rebellious because of the changes of environment and his father’s death. He didn't listen to others’ advice. Later under the loving care and concerns of all of the staff in this orphanage, he slowly became outgoing, can greet people around him proactively, help caretakers look after crying children, help elders in the institute sweep the floor, and carry water etc. The institute applied in September 2007 to declare that his mother was dead. People’s Court judged to declare his mother’s death in December 2007. Because Liyuan’s parents all died and he has no direct relatives in his family, he became an orphan.

This institute knows from the residents’ committee of the birthplace of Liyuan that the he is a hardworking and kind-hearted child at home, can help family members do farm work that he can do, and gets along well with neighbors. He began to study in preschool class at the age of 6 years and is a pupil who loves studying lessons and doing labor work. Normally in class he engages in difficult and dirty tasks actively and can finish them successfully. In the beginning due to his different dialect, he had academic difficulties, but now he has good academic results and is praised by teachers and classmates.  He is currently enrolled in Grade 5. Usually he rides a bike to go to school and comes home from school by himself, has great independence, usually has meals alone, takes a bath, and washes clothes alone. At school, he can listen to lessons attentively and seriously, gets along well with classmates, but in the beginning because of his different dialect, his academic results can not become good. Usually after class he plays games with other classmates, joins in some small outdoor activities. Now he has become more and more outgoing and active.

Liyuan honestly doesn't have much time.  When a child reaches the age of 14, they are no longer considered adoptable.  They either go into the adult portion of the welfare institute (think nursing home with no hope) or they are put out on the streets to beg and work in any way they can to support themselves.

Please pray about it.  Could you be his family, his hope for a future?  Time is running out.

Another handsome little man needs a family--Adrian

Adrian
Adrian just turned 5 recently.  What better present than for your family to find you?

According to the doctors: Adrian has double oulet RV, malposition of the great arteries, severe pulmonary hypertention, subpulmonic VSD, patent foramen ovale, PDA and coarctation.  In Feb. of 2008, he had an S/P arterial switch and VSD closure operation.  The surgery was successful, but they knew he would need another surgery. It's about time for him to have it, so the medical team is taking him for some tests after the national holiday. He is on medication everyday.

Could this smiley, handsome young man be your son?

If you have any more questions about him, I can put you in touch with someone who knows him and can give you more info.

JW needs a family!

JW, aka John Wayne, needs a family...

He is a precious 2 year old little boy who has spina bifida and club feet.  His SB was repaired when he was an infant and he had Ponseti casting done by ChinaCare when he was 9 months old.  His clubbing was minor and treatment was successful!  John Wayne is one determined little boy, he started to walk while he was IN the casts and hasn't stopped!  He's always been developmentally on track with sitting, crawling, standing...  At the moment, he is appears fully functional, of course bowel and bladder problems are always a possibility with spina bifida.

He currently lives at EaglesWings.

If you're interested in learning more about him, please contact CCAI.

Look at these 2 cuties that need families

These 2 cuties both have limb differences, which are very special to me.  Our Grace's left arm looks just like Matthew's!

Matthew

And has a limb difference.  He's missing his left forearm.
He looks so cute and cuddly and as sweet as can be!

Could this adorable boy be your son?--more info added

Philip

Look at that smile!  How adorable and handsome!

This awesome young man needs a mother and father to love him unconditionally and forever.  Phillip’s special need is a spinal tumor and scoliosis.  He is in a wheelchair, paraplegic and incontinent.  The more important part is to remember how special this young man is.  His Chinese name is Li Rui, from Hanzhong orphanage, his birthday is June 7, 1999, and he came to us in September of 2009 after having a surgery on his back.  He came already speaking English and continues to improve with each class.  Phillip loves legos, transformers, fried rice and fried chicken.  He is loyal to his friends, is a good brother and a natural leader.  He loves back rubs and snuggling on the couch.  His smile is contagious and he is competitive.  His upper body works fine, He can change diapers on his own, feeds himself, bascially he can do everything with his hands like other people do, he can shower himself, he can't bend over nor move from one place to another on his own, he needs help to put on and take off his brace

Philip's time to find a family is running out.  He's already 11 years old and if he isn't adopted by the time he turns 14, he will never know the love and joy of a family to call his own.  His original orphanage has not done his adoption paperwork, but they have told SFCV that if a family comes forward to adopt him, they will do his paperwork!  Please search your heart and see if you might be this young man's family.    If you have any questions or would like to adopt Philip, please contact me and I'll put you in touch with the SFCV liasons.
